Default Screeching sound

This is the first day I drove my new 2011 370Z home with the windows down due to the triple digit heat. Today was cloudy, temps in the 80's and very humid. After driving about 10 miles I started hearing this screeching sound like metal on metal coming from both sides of the car. Thought at first it was wheel bearings or brakes. It got worse when I turned the wheels. I remembered back in the year 2000 my Toyota Celica GTS used to do this when it was very humid or raining. They replaced the engine belts on the Toyota and it solved the problem. Has anyone encountered this and do you have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Turn around and go back to the dealer. Both sides?, that is not going to be good.

Yeah i had that same noise when i got mine its the brakes breaking in. Yeah i know it makes that sound when youre not even using them. Basically how i got rid of mine is i drove side to side for a wile like a drunk or when you preheat youre tiers for a race, this way you will shave off all that, that is squeaking.

I just picked up a Z on Thursday, noticed the screeching sound when I was driving next to a wall (sound reflection).
Drove it right back to the dealership on Saturday, still do not have a prognosis. Did you ever get the situation resolved? What was the cause?

You are right, it sounds a lot like metal on metal scrreching. Not too loud though, I can't hear it at speeds. But I can hear it in neutral.

Thanks! I will post Nissan's findings when I hear from them.

Sounds like it is just on the passenger side. Got a call yesterday from dealer...... seems the PO dented the rim.
It was causeing shuttering at +70mph, and (accoring to the dealer) the screeching sound.

They attempting to reshape the wheel today, if they can't they're going to slap on a new one.

I will let you know if it cures that awful sound.......
