OP. The "importance" of oil is waaaaaay overplayed. I use Mobil 1 and have for awhile. The worst thing involved with oil is not changing it. And if I'm not mistaken, M1 does have esters in it. Also, do you really believe that Nissan makes their own oil? Let me answer that...NO.
