370z leaking engine fluid?

I noticed on the left and right side underneath my engine where my car sits in my garage their are these fluids/plastic drips on my floor. They are hard now cuz they are dry, wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing.

Well, don't get worked-up yet. There are plenty of very sharp, mechanically-inclined guys that can provide much more valuable insight.

Looks like melted plastic. Maybe something is touching the exhaust?

nutoz 08-28-2011 07:19 PM

:confused:could it possibly be coating from the chassie or some kind of excess sealant that dripped from the hot engine

JrumMusic 08-28-2011 07:19 PM

I might have to take it to the dealer 2mrw.

Have you looked under the car yet or inspected the undertray?

Do you smell anything while/after driving the car? If you were burning plastic you would know it.

DjSquall 08-29-2011 08:16 AM

That's scary....

Definately looks like melted plastic to me. No other "fluid" from your car would harden when cool. No telling which exact piece of plastic it's from until you put it on a lift, or jackstands and look around for what has melted.

Edit: oh and if you're looking around under there while the engine is warm, wear some googles. :ughdance:
