Not sure about your brake pulling issue. That could be several things. How many miles on this car? Are you mechanically inclined? If so, remove the engine splash guard from the car and clean it good. Look for anything on there or anything unusual around the engine bay. Place the engine cover back on the car, sweep the garage floor really well and tell your lady to park at the curb and hike it up to the house. :D So you're 22 and your lady is cute enough that you let her park in your spot? It's picture time!!! :happydance: |

Coolant leaks are bad, hopefully you don't have one of those. I tend to use the taste test when I'm unsure: dip your finger in what you think is just AC condensation and taste it. If it tastes like water you're ok. If it tastes like coolant you're in trouble :) |
I'm willing to bet that it was tar or something of that nature... as someone mentioned there is almost no way that the car would be leaking unless the splash guard was removed or it was an EXTREMELY large amount of fluid (enough to render the car a 30 thousand dollar paperweight).
You kicked up something on the splashguard and it dripped off on the ground when you parked. The only other thing would be if it was past the engine, like a bag on the exhaust as was also mentioned. I'd keep my eye on things like the oil level but I wouldn't really worry too much. Only other fluid that would look like that color would probably be the dif fluid which is WAY behind the engine. |
