Cool Is anyone spraying?

Ive been wondering since, I dont have 6k much less 9k for FI kit. So a quick & cheap way of cheating and ganing some temporary power on demand would be the bottle. Ive had two kits but both on toyotas and I know they can handle no2. Ive had a venom and a zex. I much rather have a dry kit. What do you guys think? Can the z handle it? How much can it handle? Which one should I get? Or should I just stay away from it? I heard of a guy in the city that's running it. but thats all I know which i dont know if he has pistons, tune for it, how big of a shot. Let me what u think?

theres a member here (and a couple others) who installed a Zex kit.

it's in the DIY section, you should check it out.

Idk too much about NO2

ive had a zex kit in the past on another car. it's a easy to install kit and worked great. very reliable as far as i could tell. it was great making my quick car fairly quick when i wanted it to go (just a 50shot).

but the issue is charging the bottle itself. it becomes tiresome after a while and the inconsistency in the bottle pressure just makes it more headache. yes you can buy a heater for it and i had one installed. but keeping it inside the car on a hot day is very dangerous.

the remote valve opener wasnt very consistent either. i had one and the mechanical clutch it had did not open/close consistently.

if asked if i'd do one in my Z.... no.

I've been thinking the same thing. I've ran no2 on my old muscle cars for years.... but that's on built motors. I don't know a lot about import motors and what they can take. I would like to hear some feed back from who's running it... which kit and are they running a tune, etc...

From the comments here im gonna stay away from it this time. I was hesitant about as it was cause of the dual intake. Ive done it before but on single intake. I just think something is really gonna mess up in the mixture one of those times and BOOM! Cause of the 50 shot on each side.

I have put the bottle on many cars no issues at all. There is a lot of miss info about nitrous. From mustangs to civic to altima se-r etc... no2 is safe to run if done correctly

Everyone knocks it on this site, which is sad.

It's not going to kill your car if you do it right. Everyone who says it will actually has no experience with nitrous and for the most part are talking out of their asses.

I've seen people spray 150-200 (progressive) shots on 350Z's for a long time and their cars are still running top notch. But if you go to the 350Z forums at first all you would see is people bashing it.

I guess it angers the FI guys when someone can get the same amount of power for much, much cheaper.
