Alright, so I took the stock spring out but then a small spring came out too? Do I need to put the small spring back? If yes then where does

Do I need to put the small spring back? If yes then where does it go? Everything came out kinda quick that I didn't have time to see how the small spring was setup. I put everything together withouth the 2 springs. Took a 10 mile ride and everything works. Please advise.
