Yes I removed the bottom pin but how am I suppose to wiggle out the assembly? Do I just grab it w/ my hand and wiggle? W/ pliers? What?

Your hand. Mine basically fell off once I depressed the clutch.

Finally got the spring off but I'm having trouble putting the pin back into the holes between the silver and black part. :shakes head: it's not going in smoothly at all

Why bother? You can just take out the whole assembly with no ill effects.

Really? The clutch doesn't require THE ENTIRE SPRING AND ASSEMBLY? I'm not trying to be sarcastic by any means I just wanna make sure my clutch isn't gonna mess up on me.

The clutch in no way requires any of the parts you take off when removing the spring. Mine has been in my toolbox for 15k miles with no issue.

Sweet thanks chuck

That is correct. If you didn't get the weaker helper spring you don't need to reinstall. I got the spring because I didn't like the slight "slop" in the pedal at the top.

I'm looking for one of the replacement springs if anyone's got one...

Quick question, does removing this pin mess w/ the actual clutch at all? I feel as if my clutch is slightly engaged now all the time. Could be my imagination? Idk I don't want to be wearing out my clutch just cuz I removed the spring :icon14:

i did mine by just taking out the big spring and moving the little one around to keep some assist but get some feel back.

It is. ;)

Take a look at what you removed. How does that do anything when the pedal is not being depressed? The only change besides the ability to feel where the clutch engages now is a bit of slop in the first 1/2" of pedal travel.

Still looking for one of these springs.... anybody?

Gibby1113 01-08-2014 12:06 PM

What are the dimensions of the spring that everyone is ordering from Century spring? Thickness? Lengeth? Width of spring? Much appreciated
