Push the pin below the spring in further (you can see it poking out to the left a bit - push it all the way in to the right). This should expose the clip on the right side. Remove the clip and then push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor to release pressure on the spring. This should allow you to pull the pin out which then allows the spring to be removed

Thanks for the help! I actually got the pin out. But now the assmebly won't come apart from the clutch. Here's a picture of where i'm at.

^^Pedal has to be to the floor before the spring will come out. You need to unload the spring first.

You should be able to just wiggle it a bit to get the silver part to separate from the black part. Again, pushing the clutch pedal to the floor releases the pressure created by the spring.

I have the 3 of the Century Springs. If anyone is interested PM me.

Got it! Thanks guys, i really appreciate the help.

The clutch feels great, it doesn't feel too different, but the little hops that occurred every now and again seem to have diminished.

Have anyone have issue the clutch not returning the whole way after replace the new spring? It stopped half way...

ChiCityZ 10-05-2013 01:39 PM

No issues here. Just went out and did it a few minutes ago and can already tell the difference..granted I had gotten used to the clutch and adjusted my shifts accordingly but this helped smooth it all out :driving:

Def doing this, thought it was just me not being used to the different clutch.

Ok so I've engaged my clutch all the way, removed the pin, but the spring won't and it STILL won't come loose. You guys mean the silver part where the pin was comes off? How? What do y'all mean to "wiggle" it?

Yes. the whole assembly that the spring is in will come off. Wiggle it off the pedal assembly.

Gibby1113 01-03-2014 12:03 PM

Ok so do I just grab onto the entire spring and just wiggle it loose? Any help is much appreciated. I'm in the middle of doing this and the damn thing STILL won't come off

Gibby1113 01-03-2014 12:07 PM

I'm here trying to mess w/ the silver part w/ a flathead and it feels like there's something that won't let it come loose. Like if something is still connecting the black and silver part

Which pin did you remove? I only removed the bottom pin so the whole assembly won't come out but rather the bottom will swing out and you can swap the spring.

If you removed the bottom one, push the clutch down slightly to decompress the spring, then wiggle out the bottom of the assembly from the pedal. It should swing outwards and then you can swap out the spring.

Gibby1113 01-03-2014 12:16 PM

Yes I removed the bottom pin but how am I suppose to wiggle out the assembly? Do I just grab it w/ my hand and wiggle? W/ pliers? What?
