Just wondering if any of you guys have ever tried one of these or does it even fit our filters. If so, how well did it work? Found this on

Hmm... with the screws to help hold it onto the filter, I wonder how much contact the heat sink is actually making with the filter.

I am skeptical that a heat sink on the oil filter will do anything at all...not enough to make a difference considering the oil filter is pretty small and is covered by the under tray. An oil cooler is the way to go to keep oil temps down.

that thing reminds me of motor heatsinks for RC cars... pretty much useless.

There is too much oil-flow, too fast, and too little surface area on the filter compared to the volume flowed through it to allow the heat-sink to do anything. It's a gimmick.

That will work, BUT really depends on the cost. If it is cheap then go for it.

Won't do jack. Heatsink too small, too much oil, surface area contact between oil or filter or whatever to the heatsink is also too small.
