If it was slippage, you'd very easily tell the difference between 4500rpm and 7500rpm...the engine character is completely different at those two levels. Are you positive it's the shift light

If it was slippage, you'd very easily tell the difference between 4500rpm and 7500rpm...the engine character is completely different at those two levels.
Are you positive it's the shift light flashing? The red BRAKE light along with VDC light will flash if your brake fluid is anything below MAX and you're driving aggressively enough to slosh it around. The shift light is progressive and blinks faster as you reach the set indication. But for a 7500 RPM setting it would start blinking around 6500-7000, not 4500.
