I used standard oil during my very first oil change. Standard oil was recommended for proper break-in. I ll then move on to full synthetic for the ensuing oil changes.

I used standard oil during my very first oil change. Standard oil was recommended for proper break-in. I ll then move on to full synthetic for the ensuing oil changes. None of the expensive Ester based oil for me, the dealer stated that there was pretty much no difference between ester and synthetic oil other than the fact that the former costs $90 vs $60 for the latter. The dealer also noted that the car won't break down just because one used full synthetic oil. They are as equally good for engine life!
