I believe your car is in limp mode which doesn't allow it to go past 2500rpm. It's usually caused by the ecu detecting a problem like overheating. Run it up

I believe your car is in limp mode which doesn't allow it to go past 2500rpm. It's usually caused by the ecu detecting a problem like overheating. Run it up to the Nissan dealership and have them clear the code. However, if it is overheating...you may want to look at fluid levels and check for leaks yourself.
Edit: actually, i believe if you turn it off for a bit, it will come out of limp mode by itself. Can someone else verify?
