Default IAT Sensor Mod for 370Z

I recently found a shop that sells you a Temperature sensor MOD for the 370Z. I just received it and i am woundering if 1) i should install this, possible damage to ECU, etc. 2) I received one modification item for the sensor. Is the IAT on each intake or is there one some where else? The company only sent one so i am thrown off by this. Does anyone have any informsation on this and suggestions. I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

No. Do not do this.

It will most likely keep the car running in the warm-up ECU cycle, net no appreciable gains, possibly ruin driveability, and probably give you a CEL.

I thought the IAT was built-in to the MAF sensor. I would leave this alone, too costly a mistake if you manage to f' something up. I doubt any gains would be worth the risk for something that hasn't really be tested or proven that I know of.

I know with some Honda MAF setups you can acutally install an IAT into the system which will help with tuning. You run the IAT sensor in conjunction with the MAF and the ECU would take its information from both...

Obviously you'd have some advantages here but I don't' know of any ECU or tuning system for the 370Z that allows that type of setup.

If it ain't broke... why mess with it?

there is in IAT circuit in each Mass airflow sensor the mod with the resistor lowers the voltage from the sensors to trick the ecu into adding more fuel to run rich, this doesn't mean more power and if more fuel is what the car needs to make more power than nothing beats a tune. Return it and save your pennies for an uprev license and other mods and get it tuned. You and your car will be much happier.

Default IAT Sensor modification

Thank you to all that responded. Since then i have decided to not proceed with this. As it turns out you need to resistors and the guy who sold it to me did not even know that. I will wait until a new ECU REFLASH can be installed. Thanks Again to everyone for your input. i think i am going to kie this forum as i just joined.
