question about the Motordyne XYZ pipe

Hey guys,

Could you help me to figure out something.
I went to bussines trip and I have received Motordyne XYZ pipe at home. So I called my nephew to get a pics of that. Once I saw, I found that some thing is different in there, namely: there is no connection boot to exhaust side. As you know the whole pipe consist of two parts, each part connects to each other by clamp which is pretty clear for me. But I can't get straight with how it connects to exhaust if it has rounded end at both sides? On nephew's shots there's a gasket for exhaust side "rombic" connection, but where's connection itself? Internet pictures shows absolutelly different, there's welded "rombic" connection from one side and round end (for clamp) on the other side of the straight pipe.
Sorry, may be it is kinda dummy question, but I can't check by my own now.
Will be appreciate if you guide me or explaine

I can't see your photobucket links until I get out of work. Did you purchase the straight pipe, resonator, or high flow cat for it? If you did not, those attachments are what attaches to the V-clamp. On the other side of the attachments that connects to the exhaust, there should be a two bolt connection to your exhaust.

I've ordered with Straight pipe. And that's what I mean, there's no two bolt connection on the straight pipe. Sorry for incorrect links, let me correst it..I am using mobile.

Have your nephew slide the straight pipe onto the exhaust. That's what the v band clamp is used for.

No, he haven't. The straight pipe inserts onto Y pipe and securing by v clamp. Do you meen that the other end of straiht pipe wich is connects to exhaust just need to be inserted onto exhaust pipe ?

Looks like they sent you a v band setup. Only way for it to work is have a v band connector on both sides to whatever the clamp will attach. If your stock CBE is a bolt style then you'll be cutting a flange off one of them and installing the same flange so they mate.

Although checking out their website the straight pipe should come with a 2 bolt flange and a v band. Looks like someone welded two v band flanges instead. Call them and have it replaced.

And it is strange for me. All pictures shows both v band and bolt type connection, but mine comes with v band only.
I donkt knoq what type of connection does R1 Titan has, as it still underway, but I am affraid I'll need to install a bolt type flange on the straight pipe.

I edited my post. Call them, looks like a mess up. Unless this R1 you speak of has a v band also. But then I don't see a second clamp. Unless it comes with this R1 CBE.

That straight pipe is not correct. Synolimit is correct. There should be a two bolt flange that matches the stock and many aftermarket mid pipes.

I failed to notice that the straight pipe doesn't have a flange on one end. Like everyone else said, that's your problem. You use the v band to attach the straight pipe to the y pipe, and then you just bolt on the y pipe to the rest of your system. Hope you get it figured out!
