I did a lot of car and bike racing when I lived in Yuma, AZ. Pretty harsh place to live. If you waited to long to do preventive maintenance you'd find sand in your oil, radiator, airbox, etc! Between racing stuff and the harsh environment I got in the habit of changing that stuff WAY early.
