Default Brake booster hose

Has anyone upgraded there brake booster hose? I am replacing all my OEM hoses with aftermarket but didn't know if the hose is filled with liquid or what? Also worried if swapping it out will put air in the system? or basically anything I need to worry about...
Is it as simple as swapping out the PVC hoses? undo the clamps, pull off the OEM hose and replace it with the new one? or does it require a little more finesse?
Thank you in advance for your help!
