Park that bitch for a solid 2 or 3 days and then give it another shot. You do NOT want to run the engine if you've got anything in there and if you have really theres a decent chance damage has already been done.

Do not run it. I'd suggest draining the oil out. Let it drain for an extended period if you can. Check the drainage and see if there's any water in it. Also, pull your air filters and see if they're wet. If the filters are wet, I'd replace them. It may cost a decent chunk, but it's a whole lot cheaper than engine damage.

I basically lost my 350 due to flood. Over a 3 month period of time, I had the engine replaced. One cat, one O2 sensor, BCM module along with a lot of major headaches. That's why I now have a 370.

If you have water in the engine, running WILL NOT dry it out. It will cause the engine to seize up.

Hopefully, the hesitation you're having is only due to water in the filters which could be causing the MAF to have issues.

That does not make sense at all.
You definetly left something out of your story...
You probably drove into a huge puddle of water or something.
Leaving your car parked outside in the rain will not cause that.

Hmmm, just let it run!
I'm sure you'll be fine do you notice your Z making loud noises when your shifting at high rpms?
If so, thats normal since that cai is sucking all that up.
Just drive low rpms on rainy days.
Any engine codes come up?

I'm sorry to hear that
But give it some time to dry out, the sensors might of picked up a little too much moisture and is throwing the ecu off . I know of some who have had this happen in heavy rain, and as it dries its fine. Keep it out deep puddles and it'll be fine. I've done driving in heavy rain also and have been pretty fortunate to make sure to avoid deep puddles. I'd suggest to let it sit? till the once in a century Rain Passes.

Have you tried to start it at all after you noticed the problem? I'm not suggesting that you start it now but if you have can you tell me what it did?

I had Injen intakes on mine and to me it felt like I had an over sensitive MAF.
I would leave it sitting out in the rain overnight and when I try to start it in the morning it just falls flat on its face. Took me a few tries before I got her started up again and when it would start I would be idling too high. (1000 rpms)
And no, it wasn't driven in a puddle (it wasn't even driven at all in the rain the last time it happened). This happened to me 3 times.
The filters pick up the moisture in the air and throws the car out of whack.

Not really. Over on MyG37, a few guys are having issues with the filters becoming very wet, just driving through normal rain... not huge, deep puddles. It's their location. Not ideal at all.

OP, let it sit for a few days... 2 minimum... and as suggested, drain out the oil and check for water in it.

Also if you live in tujunga I can probably stop by if you are throwing any CEL codes...I just got a unit that reads the codes.
