Default coolant system question

I did a search and found nothing so i hope this is not a repeated question.

I was wondering how fast is normal for these cars to reach normal coolant temps. Reason im asking is mine seems to reach 3/4 across haven't even tried to count those stupud dots in about 2 to 3 minutes or maybe less than a couple of miles is this about right.....

don't mean to beat a dead horse but any decent sports car should have a
temp gauge

If I remember correctly, water temperatures should be around 190 degrees at full operating temperature. I tend to see my car reaching operating water temperature in 5-10 minutes at most but the oil takes a fair amount longer since I have a large oil cooler.
