Sticky: (Official) 370Z Clutch Pressure (CSC) Failures

Just follow the FSM for transmission removal. There's a variety of sensors, some of which can be a pain. Pretty straightforward all things considered. It just takes a while.

Look up DJ Todds DIY it was helpful when I did mine. Cranck sensor bolt is the hardest to get at mark your drive shaft flages so it goes back the same as you took it off. The transmission is actualy pretty light about 80 lbs or so. I rented a puller from autozone...I had to file the back side of the fingers slightly to get it to go in. FYI the fluwheel bolt are a #40 star bit I think, star bit for sure that size may be off. Have a good torque wrench available take your time and have fun. It not that bad just takes some time to take off all the crap to get at what you need.

Does the 2015 Nismo 6MT have the same issue.

I'm almost 100% sure it does but I'd thought I'd double check here before giving my friend bad info.

So my CSC just went out when I pulled in to work, pedal sank to the floor and didn't come back. I'm totally comfortable replacing the CSC and probably a new clutch in my driveway, but is there any quick fix so I can get it home without paying for a tow? It's about 15 miles from my house

You can try to bleed it and see what happens.

Just forced it back up. I read that this (sometimes) will let you drive it until you replaced it asap. Also how many miles do you currently have?

I was thinking maybe tying a rope on the clutch pedal, that way you can pull it back into position between shifts

Just try pumping the pedal a few times to hopefully build up some pressure. Check your reservoir to see if you still have fluid.

At how many miles do CSCs tend to fail?

Sorry to hear that. Mine failed at about 60,000. And I would be careful driving it. When mine went out I couldnt really get it into gear. After it sat all day I got a little pressure back and was able to drive it to the dealership (roughly 10 is miles away).
