Yes. Unfortunately it's still an issue.

Alright, I'll get a delete kit on the way. May go ahead and order a lightweight flywheel and get that done while they're in there. I wish Nissan would cover doing this prior to failure as a preventative measure, or obviously just fix the thing at the factory.

Re-engineer a bad part from the factory? Is this your first Nissan?

Do the lightweight flywheel. The response is awesome and it sounds pretty cool too.

Haha yeah, it is. I love it, though.

Yeah. Me too. 121,000+ miles and I still love to mash the go pedal.
I'd like to thank the police for being nowhere near me last night.
70 degrees. Overcast. Light breeze. Perfect weather to do a little rompage.

My son's 2016 just took a dump at a busy intersection in Baltimore, just under 11,000 miles...clutch stuck on floor, etc....
Don't want him to have dealer put in OEM stuff..
Can you direct me as to where you got all your stuff?
I believe its getting towed to Antwerpen/Security Nissan..
Thx,

Got a '14 with about 56k on the ODO. Mine just died as I pulled into the office. Going to have it towed and inspected at the stealership in the morning. :shakes head:

I guess Nissan is willing to lose customers over this. They don't want to layout the cash for a recall. This is a potentially dangerous defect if you find yourself in heavy traffic and it fails...

Zyonara91 02-27-2018 03:01 PM

Got the Z1 CSC kit installed on mine, while I was at it got a Z1 oil cooler as well (19 row).

Anyways, as many have stared, it baffles me as to why Nissan has not gone ahead with the recall in regards to this defect. I feel, possibly, in the future they will have a few law suits on their hands due to this.

Funny, I expected more from Nissan in this regard and I can assure you there are folks from Nissan who definitely cruise these forums and yet nothing is being done by them. The issue, as we all know lies with the manual not automatic models.

I hope no lives are ever lost due to this defect. Come on Nissan, at least subsidize up to 50% for the costs required for a new CSC elimination kit.

yeah as in it failing at a RR Crossing
