I went to pick it up the next day, paid $230 and while waiting they came around and said they couldnt get it into gear. Shifted perfectly before, just lost pressure one day. Could still shift just a low engagement point, 20% maybe? Well they "didnt get around to it" the next day, so the following day they call me and tell me my "clutch spring" is bad and id need to pay $1600 to have them change the clutch and flywheel. What? Am i being scammed or what? Thanks.

run!

I'm seeing if i can get anything out of a claim first so im not screwed too bad. Hopefully get it back to driving so i can bring it somewhere else and give them the external CSC. Im terrified they're going to sabotage it just to get me at this point so id like to get it fixed by them first.

I'm saying if they replaced your "clutch spring" to try and fix the issue they obviously have no clue, Last person I would trust to change my clutch/flywheel.

They haven't yet. Just told me they'd need to change my clutch and flywheel because of a faulty spring. Whatever the hell that means. But I'd only let them do it for free(if the claim goes in my favor) and then take it to a shop right after to get the CMAK and new CMC put on and have the clutch looked at while its there. I don't want them to touch my car other than get it back to where it was when they test drove it and "everything was perfect".

ok, after reading all of this, this is a mod for in the next several months. Have a 2012 with 57000 miles on it, and it has been autocross / tracked this year / driven hard.
so I need to talk to joe@zspeed and get what I need, most likely will go with https://www.zspeedperformance.com/ZS...ZSP-EZ-CMK.htm

Thanks to everyone

If you auotcross a lot, you might like the lightweight flywheel instead of the billet. More reaponsive.
Joe will definitely hook you up though. Very nice guy and knowledgeable.

I have noticed an issue with my CSC, it works fine with the clutch pedal letting out in the correct spot driving it normal and hard, but if I rev it out of gear to near redline I can feel it engage lower to the floor. Then after I mash it about 20 or 30 times it will correct itself and start engaging in the correct spot again. Anyone else have this issue?

Might need to be bled. You're probably losing pressure in the hydraulics.
Sort of normal. I manage to embarrass my self quite often when sitting at stop lights. I'll hold the clutch in waiting for the light to change, then kill it because the point has dropped a bit. Or it's just weak middle-aged legs. :icon14:

This is actually just the stock clutch doing that, It's called "reversing" At high rpm the clutch fingers are trying to stay in the forward position just from the rotational force being applied to them at high rpm. One reason I hate the stock clutch.

Makes sense to me, thanks for the explanation. One of your clutches will be going in the car when the time comes, most likely the "EZ street quiet clutch" and the CMAK v2.

I have a 2015 nismo with 26k on it. I baby this thing and today I'm getting in it and push the clutch to the floor to start it and it snaps to the floor! Won't return on its own. I have to manually move it back to the top. I push it in again and it snaps back to the floor and stays there.:crying::crying::crying:

You have to expect certain repairs will be needed for such an old high-mileage car.

Has anyone installed this metal CSC from ebay?

Winter is coming and I will be doing upgrades and repairs, might as well beef up CSC while at it.
