Straight cuts gears are horrible for daily driving / weekend driving. I've seen people use a stock 6th over drive gear so if you're highway driving it won't cause the winding noise.

or quaife offers helical gears

I ran a PPG Dog Box in my Silvia. It was amazing. Bullet proof, clutchless upshifts, and The noise it made put a smile on my face everytime I took her out.

Cool find.

So I hate to bring up a dead thread but I've been doing some research on this and I can not get onto the first link you provided. Any news? Updates?

theDreamer 07-16-2013 02:55 PM

I think news article on their website has been taken down (to old). Here is the link to the product directly: QBE69G - Quaife Engineering

Thank you and I contacted Holinger waiting on a reply on what they offer in this area.

UP TO $12,400 US dollars...:ugh2:

This is going to be very expensive! I'm hoping it will be a direct bolt on maybe save on cost of labor.

For the tranny. The bellhousing is extra. :( Been wanting one of these for some time now.

Dzel 07-17-2013 07:50 AM

One could just buy the shell from say a junk yard maybe a little cheaper.
