What's the bet:stirthepot:

That the MT is faster! I guess my car isn't a good car to compare because we have adjusted the 7AT and its supercharged, but I promise you can't shift that fast.

Same car, same driver.....
1/4= auto
Road= manual

What is the bet??

. Auto won't do that. U get the same car, same driver, 3 laps in auto, 3 laps in manual.... Manual will always have the faster laps. And we're not debating an amateur vs a pro here. That's just stupid to even suggest that. Same car, same driver, skilled driver....
1/4 = auto
Road course = manual.
Only someone that has no track experience will argue that fact. Not my facts.... Every professional out there uses auto for 1/4, manual for road course.

I have no round track experience so I will step up and argue. Auto's are still better!! :stirthepot:

Lets just think about your statement for a second...........??
flying hot into a corner ok?? you're at 150mph.....?
you need to drop your speed to 60mph......?

Here is the ultimate question.....???

Which transmission will get you there quicker..........??

1) hard breaking in an auto............???
2) hard breaking with hard down shifting in a manual...........???

The only ones that can answer this are the one's that have experienced this....

NO FN WAY AN AUTO CAN DO THIS

REMEBER...........
same car, same hp, same driver, auto vs manual:driving:

My car has been adjust to shift faster but is still stock.

I have never had a problem not getting down to the gear I wanted in a braking zone. It shift faster in the straight, so what is the advantage of a MT? You all seem to believe this so what can it do that the 7 AT doesn't ?

You just have better control over the RPM's in a MT car.
It's not always necessarily "faster" but you do tend to have better control over the car.

im not doubting you brother whatsoever:tup:

this whole thread is about auto vs manual right??

Take a stock auto 370z vs a stock 370z manual around the track.....:hello:
manual will always be faster:tiphat:

we can all modify our beloved 370z to take out any car in the world, if we spend the dollars;)

same car, with same driver, with same mods, with same hp..............
1/4 mile= auto
road= manual

no one here can even say other wise.....
again, its not my info, not my facts, not my experience.........

just the facts of racing in even Steven's true world of racing.

I agree 100% if your car has been modified to shift faster, it will be quicker. But lets do the same for the manual so it shifts faster? You'll have no chance approaching the corners, and exiting the apex :driving:

stock vs stock:
1/4=auto
road=manual
:hello:

I would love to see that stock vs stock, I think it would really surprise you MT guys but I could be wrong. I track with one of my life long best friends who has a 01 Z06 that is supercharged and 455whp/ 451 tq the runs away from my car, the only place he's impressed with the Z is when we are shifting.
