DDMotorsports: JWT Clutch & Flywheel

Frick, how does the syncro match reacts to the light weight fly wheel. Also, how much does the JWT fly wheel weigh. The stock sits around 30 so I expect

Based on how the synchrorev match feature works, a lightweight flywheel shouldn't affect it, however, it has not been tested on an actual car with synchrorev match yet.

The JWT flywheel weighs 15.4 lbs.

Cool

DDM, how loud is the chatter from the drivetrain from the lightened flywheel. I really want it, but have no experience with light flywheels, so I was wondering if you knew how bad it was. I know it chatters like a truck in neutral clutch out and up to 2k revs, but how loud is it??

Thanks

It is a lot louder than the stock flywheel. For me, it appears to get louder as the car warms up from a cold start. I've had mine for about 1 and 1/2 week now.

just thought i'd throw in that "that other 370z site" did an install and review on the jwt clutch and flywheel and they loved everything about it. It didn't effect the synchrorevmatch other than improving rev times, and it gave the the car 6 more horsepower throughout the range because it takes that much power to spin the diesel derived boat-anchor of a flywheel that nissan gave us in order to reduce NVH. They did say that there was noticeably more clutch/input shaft chatter in first gear and neutral or with the clutch disengaged because of the removal of the dual mass dampener in the stock flywheel so if you're picky...
