It's a well documented opinion that the sport package lsd sucks. I've read where a few people have upgraded to a carbonetics lsd. Quick question, I always thought it was useful for road courses but does an LSD help or provide an advantage in 1/4 mile times??

Yes, its going to distribute the power to the ground more efficiently and even giving you more traction to both drive wheels.
