Hmmm, I sense being drawn into the oil definition vortex. Didn't really want to go there.
Dino, synthetic, blend, conventional, are all marketing derived terms, not scientific. "Synthetic" is a marketing term and that it is the responsibility of the Marketer (the one who labels and markets the oil) to define what it is.
