Wheelspin in the wet. Slip light doesn't flash.

I tried to test the VDC out again on my way home from work. It was dry out by this time. I went WOT in first gear and I saw

I tried to test the VDC out again on my way home from work. It was dry out by this time. I went WOT in first gear and I saw the slip indicator light flash a bit as VDC attempted to keep traction. So the system seems to be working. I'll have to try it when it's wet out again. Any reason why VDC would seem to not actuate in the wet?
