On the VTC covers roughly opposite to the cam angle sensors.

Thanks, was able to pull my driver side out enough to see the screen was completely clear. Not bad for 13 yrs. and 100k mi.

Yep - change the oil correctly, keep the oil clean and it will last a long *** time.

There are also screens on the deck of the heads and on the timing cover.

The cam chain tensioners have screens too.

Mine were all spotless, but I cleaned them with compressed air anyway.
