I did this, then ended up replacing the lines and the cooler because they were rubbish. I'm sure it will be fine if you don't mind oil dripping everywhere.
The sandwich plate was good though. So it was like $100 for the sandwich plate. |

Buy a used quality kit after verifying the engine didn't puke its guts into it. I got a 25 row Setrab with thermo plate and lines for $250'ish shipped. Works like a charm, too good in fact as I've had to cover multiple rows.
