Yep, 2 different things. As pushing the button turns off traction control & not the VDC (vehicle dynamic control) as this will cut throttle & apply brakes to necessary wheels & straighten out vehicle, in the event it senses out of control
The Yaw Sensor is the brain for this & will illuminate 2 solid slip lines on dash when it’s turned off & not the faded slip lines.

It’s on every model; as the factory doesn’t allow you to turn the VDC off, you have to locate yaw sensor & modify yourself.
There’s a couple DIY threads on it, but be careful driving...unless you’re experienced with drifting,etc...
