Default Mine as well

I have an older GReedy cat back system with the same drone. I ordered a baffle for the new RS systems and it didn't fit on my older one. I had a machinist buddy make me some bolt-in baffles and it is 100% better. I don't feel any power loss, but I am sure i cut out a couple HPs.

My permanent fix will be to turbo it!

So you’re saying you completely eliminated the drone with those baffles? Those are installed at the tips right?

Im with you on that permanent fix, a front muffler kit will really help

Installed Evo GT last night with ART pipes, holy, its insanely loud for a daily driver. Removed ART pipes and installed stock cats, also removed read heat shield, its actually drivable now, however drones from 3k to 4k at 20%+ throttle. Maybe just need to get used to it, will see.

If it annoys me long enough next going to try wither dyno mat or baffles.

I had purchased the new Remark axle back exhaust last year which is made by Greddy and uses similar rear canisters/mufflers and tailpipes. Even with my stock cats and Nismo midpipe, it was absolutely unbearable. The drone was so bad that the inside of the car was shaking itself apart and after an hour drive, I had a headache that lasted the rest of the day. I removed them the same night. So yes, Greddy exhausts have a huge amount of drone that will probably only get worse as the exhaust breaks in.

It really is dumb loud, inside and out. I just changed to Fast Intentions resonated test pipes from the ART pipes and I honestly think it's louder. The drone isn't any worse(not that it could be), but I can really hear the cams now, especially on the E85 map. Idk what about these pipes make the difference, but there certainly is 1.

I have the same catback as yours. I believe the drone comes from a combination of the engine noise and the exhaust system together. Perhaps this system is more race oriented than say an Nvidia or HKS. As others said, you could insulate the cabin and the trunk to reduce the vibration feel. I personally don't care too much as the only time I'm in those rpms is when I either accelerate or have to climb a hill. I accept the extra noise because "street race car".

I drove a G37 and a 2010 Z with the GReddy and let me tell you coming from a muffler delete in comparison the remarks are quieter. I got them for my 2018 and along the ISR resonated test pipes its quieter now than the GReddy Z. I also did the whole trunk inside with the Noico and a Hushmat. the outside i shoved the foam used in sound cabins. Drone is actually less eversince I added the foam between the bumper and the trunks space. Try it.

I love my Greddy exhaust - running with FI Resonated Test Pipes - but yea drone is very real - I ended up soundproofing my trunk and it dropped it by 10db easily. Major improvement
