See? Can't you get the Setrab core or the Mocal one from them? besides that, buying a different sized filter isn't a big deal. Just remember the size like the size of your tires or what kind of oil you use in your engine. It's really not a big deal.

I had their gold series core, but it failed after about 4 years. I just installed a new Setrab series 6 34 row.

I use WIX filters and I haven't had any issues with them so far. No leaking issues or anything like that.

My understanding is that Z1 stopped offering Mocal cores for the 370Z because they would burst; couldn't deal with the high oil pressure on startup.

Mocal is still an option on their website.

I can never say "limp mode" with a straight face now, thanks BettyZ

You've never used the term "limp-****" to refer to something that isn't working as it should be? :rofl2:

From the Z1 site, the Setrab core is only $45 extra. Think about it, you're paying $45 more for a peace of mind quality proven core that will do the job and last the duration of your car. It's a no brainer. Sometimes you do GET what you PAY for.

I still have the shovel that buried the Grassy Knoll shooter. I'll lend it to you to dig up more threads.
