Default No fuel reading - sending unit or assembly?

I think my sending unit may be out.. I had a 190 mile reading left in the morning. This afternoon I turned it on and had no reading, no lights, get to the pump and I put 17.5 gallon in!!

So now I have no reading on fuel what so ever. What do I have to replace?

Probably similar to a TSB ID# ITB-12-075 on the Infiniti side. Dealership charged $317 total to perform this on my FX50.

Hey all! Just to update if you run across this. The guages were reading no gas for a week, then the lights came back! Dont let this fool you, the assembly is surely broken at the hat.

The plastic top hat (CJ-Motorsports has a billet replacement option that is top notch!) and the sending unit are the weakest links in the OEM fuel system for sure. Thanks for the update!
