Default Cylinder 5 Misfire

Hey guys,

On cold start today I received a random misfire code and a pending cylinder 5 Misfire.

I cleared the codes and everything seems normal. Did a few pulls and drove around to see if I could get it to misfire. Unfortunately (or fortunately) nothing came back up.

There was heavy rain over the night...maybe that's a contributing factor.

What do you guys think?

Wait and see if it happens on cold start again tomorrow? Until you can duplicate it on demand, or at least define the cause, it's a random event.
As for the rainy day being a cause, I've only ever had that happen with one vehicle. A microcrack in the distributer would let moisture in on very rainy days and short the spark. It took forever to figure it out. Arc path in the distributer finally gave it away.

Could have been caused by a lot of things (eg, bit of dirt in #5 injector that cleared after a while). If it doesn't come back within a few days, I'd quit worrying about it.
