You have done all the appropriate troubleshooting. It's the scanner. Obviously it's not playing nice with the Z ecu. Scanner plugged in = problem Scanner not plugged in = no

Scanner plugged in = problem Scanner not plugged in = no problem. Get a different one. I use torque app as well with a $17 ebay Bluetooth plug in. No problems
