I agree with the wiring issue could be the problem. Your cars going into limp mode because of the MAF sensor code, not the Cats code (if you already didn't know that).\
Also, oiled K and N's have been known to destroy MAF sensor. Never had any issues with mine but it seems to be a pretty common problem.
