Clutch Pedal Issue

I really hope it's not a CSC issue, and I searched the forums for a bit before posting.

I've noticed a couple of issues after removing the helper spring for a day, which I have placed back on for the time being.

During the day in GA it's like 80+ degrees lately and my pedal feels normal.
At night after work where the temperature is significantly lowered where it's like 50 degrees, the clutch pedal feels abnormally soft and the activation is almost to the floor board. Is this normal? Also I can feel small "turning" vibrations in the clutch pedal and all of the bumps of it spinning through the pedal.

The only reason why I think it's not the CSC is that a failed CSC leaks when the clutch pedal is depressed. My reservoir has been in the center of the Min Max line and hasn't moved.

I'm currently about to get someone to bleed the fluid just to see if that helps. I don't have the right equipment to do it myself and don't want to make matters worse.

Try bleeding the clutch and see if that helps. you may have some air in the line.

The reason the pedal felt softer was because it wasn't building as much pressure when the clutch pedal was depressed. It probably has a minor leak
somewhere, cmc and/or csc.

Hotter temp. may help a bit as the rubber seals and fluid expand thus create a better seal.

Mileage on the cmc/csc and clutch fluid?

Don't know if it helps more but the car was sitting for about a year ungaraged. Could moisture be pulled in somehow? I never changed the fluid since I've gotten the car.

The CSC usually fails completely when it goes, stranding you. If you're getting a soft pedal, that is often the CMC. A fluid flush is probably the best starting point. Then the CMC and if you have to, the CSC (don't put another OEM one in).

Would the HD be sufficient, or just get the csc delete? And what clutch is reccomended for spirited driving, no heavy mods planned yet?

I have the Z1 delete kit. I like it but would recommend ZSpeed's HD CSC for most street drivers that don't want to bother with the occasional maintenance that comes with the delete kit. The maintenance is very simple, but it is something that needs to done based on the mileage put on. I put 18K miles on the Z a year and find myself needing to do the adjustment about every 9 months or so.

I am just hating the fact that I got quoted 2grand for a transmission drop. I just wanted a csc install. Don't know anyone that'll do it for me either and I don't have a lift access which makes it worse lol.

Replace the fluid with Motul RBF600. It works well. I have to flush my clutch fluid every 10K at least.

How many bottles would I need for the bleed flush from the master, not the bell housing yet?

That's crazy, $2000. My local Nissan dealer quoted me around $750 to install a heavy duty CSC and new CMC that I would provide. It is only about six hours labor. Add maybe another hour to replace clutch too.

$2K is ridiculous. Transmission drop should be 7-8 hours of labor with typical labor rates of $80-120 per hour depending on your location.
