Engine lubricating oils require the presence of additives to protect the engine from wear. For almost forty years, the principal antiwear additive for engine lubricating oils has been zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). However, ZDDP must be used in concentrations of 1.4 wt. % or greater to be effective.
Pennzoil Platinum contains 3.00% of Zinc alkyl dithiophosphate (ester).
I use Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 and highly recommend it.

You can not go wrong with Redline.

Steve you realize we, as in the US, returned the favor during WWII (they had a small problem with some fella's called Nazi's)! I have zero issues with anyone complaining about France. You also realize France is the major contributor towards a nuclear Iran. Could you imagine a nuclear capable Iran. My appologies to the OT, but this kinda sh*t pisses me off as well.

I say let them have 'em...they'll blow themselves up long before they can manage to blow anyone else up.

Wow, I was just looking for opinions on the best oil, and within two pages of the thread it's nazi's and French politics.
Pass the ketchup for my f. fries, and turn left at Ellis Island so's you don't hit that big chunka liberty metal.
Love this forum, never dull.

Problem: There are so many threads on this forum dealing with this subject, it's been beaten to death. Three times. Maybe more.

Another vote for Mobil 1. No regrets since 1999, when I started using it. 5W30, BTW.
