Since I adjusted mine a few weeks ago, the non-starting on occasion has happened again. I ordered one from the dealer and replaced the old one. Since the replacement, I have had ZERO issues with it starting.

I even took the old one to work to check it out electrically and it tested good. So, for the $30 I paid, it was worth replacing...

And if you're gonna replace it, turn clockwise to unscrew it.

could be the steering lock mechanism getting jammed. Mine was playing up time to time so I just unplugged the damn thing.

If it is this issue, check this out.. there is this box under the steering wheel, give it a tap (or bash should I say) with a small hammer or something and you will hear it click and unlocking. If this fixes it, you need to either replace the box or just remove cable that goes in when its unlocked so it wont ever lock again. obvioulsy the cons of doing this will be that your steering wheel will never lock, but I have no issues with that..
