Here in florida tonight its very brisk 55 and windy. I went for a stroll to test for leaks and it was a struggle getting to 180.

2011 Nismo#91 01-05-2016 09:23 AM

Yep, 180 even as low as ~170 is acceptable.

lj909 01-05-2016 09:26 AM

I blended my oil down to 0w25 for the winter

TerribleONE 01-05-2016 09:28 AM

Means its doing its job.

Elmo370z 01-05-2016 10:09 AM

Thats crazy. I was getting little worried for a second there ( I'm just paranoid). Took 14 miles to warm up lol

Yea my car takes a long time to warm up as well between the oil cooler and the extra capacity from the TT kit.

SS_Firehawk 01-05-2016 10:28 AM

Why haven't we met up anywhere Elmo? I live in Channelside and work right next to the St. Pete Bridge

Whoa that isn't too far from me. I live like 2 seconds from the gandy bridge. I had no life for about 6 months beside work. I'm good now. Im usually free during the week.

My temp gauge looks like yours when it's around 50ish in Maryland with the z1 25 row kit.

Cant imagine how long it took last year when those blizzards came through. 6 more months secrets on the beach! (aka blackout city).

AV8rZ 01-05-2016 11:22 AM

Did you just install this and if so did you take pics or just use the instructions that came with it? I have mine but am waiting until my exhaust comes to install both at the same time.

Spooler 01-05-2016 12:04 PM

Looks normal. I barely hit 160F by the time I got to work this morning. Outside temps were 33F. Rare to have those low temps here so I am not worried about it.

Yes i just installed it. i just have to tighten down a AN fitting to fix a small oil leak. I read the instructions over and over again. they are pretty straight forward. That would be the best way to do it. You have a AN wrench? If not your going to scratch up the AN fittings tighten them down.

NP, If I was farther north I would make a block-off plate for half of my cooler. I also have the FI 34 row with thermostatic plate.

Thanks! What is an AN Wrench? Guess if I had one I'd know what it was.

lol. go to summit racing or just google AN- 8 wrench. Its an aluminum wrench so it doesn't scratch your AN fittings. AN= american navy fittings

Anyone have a z speed under tray with a fi oil cooler kit?

Rusty 01-06-2016 09:47 PM

I got the 34 row Z1 cooler with the Zspeed under tray. Why?

Zoren 370 01-06-2016 10:03 PM

He might be worried the sandwich plate would not clear the Z speed under tray?

I have a stillen oil cooler with thermostatic sandwich plate it clears the under tray and whitelines sway bars.

RBfastback 01-06-2016 10:30 PM

anyone able to get both the oil lines from the FI kit over the sway bar??

In the picture. I have my oil lines routed in front of the filters, on top of the white foam bumper. Then they run down the side to the plate. They do not go under the sway bar.
