I think you're confusing the coolant temp with oil temp that's displayed on one of the triple gauges. On our cars the oil temp is normal to get high during hot days but 220 is not that much yet. I'd deff invest in a good aftermarket oil cooler because little spirited driving can get the oil temp up there really quick.
