Agreed, I guess the appeal of the AAM cooling setup is that for ppl with FMIC its not another additional cooler blocking the airflow up front.
The GTR version uses a A2A oil cooler and laminova core maybe this would be more effective for track cars in hot climates. Was at a my local racetrack Winton raceway couple of weekends ago - the racetrack was sticking to my shoes:eek: This also looks like a good solution cant find much info on it i believe it s 42 row http://www.hpi.co.jp/evolve_z/index.html?no=05 |
Yes that looks like a good cooler, wonder if anyone here has that? I want to find the best cooler, so what should I get, any 34 row, the AAM R line or the HPI evolve?

The best cooler not sure, maybe an AAM R line and a 34 row setrab or another 34 row if you have space? If you plan on going FI and have a FMIC your probably going to need a new front bar as the OEM bumper doesn't really provide good airflow onto side mounted coolers. |
Here is a video from AAM showing engine oil temps in vs out with the AAM R Line oil Cooler system:

Just stumbled upon the AAM R Line oil Cooler system. automatically went here looking for feedback and thoughts. So here's mine. with everyone's footnotes considered. the way id go by this (and would really like to opposed to air to oil cooling systems) AAM R Line oil Cooler system injunction with a 2 core aluminum radiator (mishimoto, setrab, etc) and crazy *** fans and a tune that kicks in the fans early since i live in SoCal. That said I honest like how this is packaged, mini coopers and other cars actually implement this system OEM bolt on to the engine, as seen from online research regarding engine oil cooling systems.
So if i ever go this rout, i will definitely post pics and feedback (initial and long term) peace much love |
AAM is no longer deserving of support from this forum. Their customer service has been flushed down the shitter. And most of their newer products look to be going the same direction. That intake manifold debacle was something else - taking $2000 pre-orders for an intake manifold that loses power and was a year late on delivery date is just unacceptable. Having customers foot R&D costs for a product that may not be viable is not the way to conduct business.
