Dynosty is probably charging that because they've got bigger fish to fry. But if you're not willing to DIY, at least you know it will be done right.

I've seen a lot of shops screw up G3 installs. So I wouldn't be confident in them

OP can you change your own oil?

If only you were closer, I wouldn't mind installing it for you.

This is how you become knowledgeable. Find someone to help. Use the money you would have spent on labor on a set of tools.

You'd be amazed. Go to your regional subforum. Offer $25, a case of beer and a pizza for someone with tools to help you.

Sounds like paying me for what I would be doing on any given weekend anyway:tup:

Update: Got it installed and the mechanic answered all questions. I know others install it themselves, but I just feel at ease if a professional installs and tests the part to make sure everything is running fine. Overall, I'm satisfied with the outcome! I felt the difference right away! Next up....the cbe and hfc :D

I got it done at Dynosty, dunno if you've heard of them but they knew all about it lol Even before I asked, they said that it would take time to make sure the A/C lines were all set up properly to where the intakes didn't rub against it. Price was $330.
