I have the 4.08 FD installed in my Z. SRM still works so you still have the "blip" when downshifting. BUT the SRM does not meet the rev perfectly so

I have the 4.08 FD installed in my Z. SRM still works so you still have the "blip" when downshifting. BUT the SRM does not meet the rev perfectly so it's maybe 200 RPM lower than it'd be without the 4.08 FD. That's the only difference. It's simply not that super smooth and perfect anymore... but still close and you get used to it very quickly.
The other thing is that if you rev harsh into redline it MIGHT happen that the SRM gets deactivated and can't be turned on again until you restart your engine. But that does not happen very often... seldom... if ever. |
