Hi Ryan,

I just ordered a clutch pedal assembly. I really don't know if it will be the last one or if I'm placing myself on a waiting list. No real matter, as long as I wind up with one I will be a happy camper. I'm really just mentioning this so the next guy along will be able to see his position in the queue that is life.

Bummer, absolutely beautiful Roadster you've got there. You don't see too many of them around but it's definitely my favourite Z body style:tup:

Thank you for your order and I just shot you an email with your order confirmation and shipping info. You're good as I've still got parts to fabricate a couple more units remaining this week before they're back ordered again:tup: It's been a few weeks since my last post so the message you're referencing was from the last production batch:tiphat:

Just QTY 2 Remaining tonight for stock- then its ETA May 16th before I'll have more parts in house. For some reason my laptop won't allow me to access the webstore tonight to update the qty showing in stock so anyone wanting to snag one of these last units Please PM me before placing an order to make sure they're not already gone.

Thanks

jlo370Z Thanks, email & PM's sent:tup:

That was the last one in stock today. The sale pricing of $15.00 Off for April is in effect until Midnight tomorrow for anyone looking to still get in on the sale pricing and to be first in line to ship once new stock arrives.
These units will now on back order until ~ May16th when I'll be receiving my next shipment of CNC laser cut parts to resume fabrication of another 50 units:driving:
While on back order the first orders in = first out the door once fabrication resumes.

You're quite welcome.

Got it. Read it. Looks pretty thorough. Based upon what I read, I certainly don't expect the install to be a problem.

I always like it when folks who make stuff for my toys of choice do well. It encourages them, and others, to come up with more stuff.

RJM Pedal install success!!!!!

JARblue 05-03-2014 02:19 PM

I just finished my RJM clutch pedal assembly install as well. Everything went very smoothly (a little over 2 hours with several breaks, adjustments, and test drive). The test drive was jaw-dropping. I'm so happy that I finally have this mod installed. It really should be the first one for any MT 370Z.

Ryan, I continue to be nothing short of impressed at every aspect of your business model and product. In addition to a high quality product at a very fair price with tremendous customer service, the actual usefulness of your product and the improvement over stock are simply outstanding. Well done sir. I tip my hat to you :tiphat:

Bummer 05-06-2014 06:56 PM

Mine got here yesterday but there was nobody available to sign for it, so it got picked up today, safe and sound.

Opened it up. Fondled the parts. Mmmmm. Pretty. Uh, mechanically speaking, of course.

I know what I'll be doing tomorrow afternoon.

Bummer 05-08-2014 10:05 PM

Things didn't work as planned, and I didn't get to the pedal assembly swap until today.

I'd rather rebuild an entire engine than wrench on three bolts under the dash. That being said the hardest part was taking the stock one out. Oh, and getting that wire tie threaded through that little hole. Installation itself was a breeze.

Still, all things considered not really all that hard. The instructions were thorough. I missed the blue plastic bumper until I was sitting around looking at the old assembly. I'll bet it's a lot easier to swap onto the new one on the bench. Still, that was my fault.

I am extremely happy with the change. I totally agree with everyone who said this is how it should have been all along.

Great product! Very good instructions. Timely delivery. Even though I hate working under the dash, I'm extremely glad I did it.

Sub to this for at the end of summer new clutch/flywheel/z1 csc delete combo plus this! Ive always hated how jerky the stock clutch is and is impossible to launch really good every time

I didn't have all that much trouble taking off from a stop, even robustly. My problem was the following shifts. Under power, shifts had a tendency to be quite jerky. This modification completely changed that.

What i mean is feathering the clutch on launch is hard when its like a light switch either totally engaged or totally disengaged. With 435whp it gets a little jumpy lol this mechanism gives more feathering space which is why i want it lol

Did you have no issues with ensuing shifts? I would think that with so much more HP to the ground you'd be nearly snapping the passenger's neck.

I certainly agree that you should see substantial improvement. I'll be quite surprised if you do not find this change to be a night and day sort of thing.

Its really hard to describe just how much better these cars feel with the redesigned pedal assembly installed and really needs to be experienced to be believed :driving:

This is beyond a doubt true. Everyone with the manual transmission in their 370Z owes this to themselves.

Ryan, is there a way to adjust the pedal height without affecting the clutch rod position? I know the two pre-installed loose bolts (7/16") allow a large portion of the assembly including the pedal to slide up and down, but this directly impacts the position of the CMC rod. I have found that to have the rod horizontal, which I understand is how it needs to be, the pedal has to be lowered all the way down. It is even with the brake pedal and looks fine, but I'm finding the toe of my boots hit the upper arm of the pedal on occasion. TBH, I'm not exactly sure how the new pedal height compares to the stock pedal height.

Is there another way to adjust the pedal height? I ask because I will be installing a new CMC this week, so I'll be working in the vicinity if there's something I can do. If not, it's not really bothersome - I just happened to notice it a couple of times since the install.

JARblue, you can independently move the height of the lower arm section up/down up to 3/4" by loosening the 3 bolt connection between the upper/lower arms allowing the arm to be "clocked" to a new angle and then tighten it back up again. Although the adjustment you mentioned above with the 2 bearing pre-load bolts is specifically just for aligning the clutch rod for a straight push of the linkage and not intended for height adjustment beyond leveling the rod.
Hope that helps a bit but I suspect what you're trying to do is raise the entire assembly more on the firewall which can't be done.

P.S. Now that I bought mine, you really should be charging more :rofl2:
