Default Clutch Kits

Looking for a clutch that will be able to hold the power of your modded VQ? The stock clutch mated to the 6MT is a robust unit capable of holding somewhere in the realm of 285 ft/lbs from the factory. Surpassing this capacity won't even be a concern for the average DD. If you're planning on putting the car though it's paces on the track or ripping up the pavement with your boosted setup however, an aftermarket solution will make sure that the power makes it to the ground 100% of the time.

ACT offers the Street Heavy Duty clutch kit for you guys putting down numbers. With only a marginal change in pedal feel, the clutch is capable of handling 435 ft/lbs of torque! The TT Nismo 370z mentioned above is making use of this great kit and has absolutely no problem putting the power where it is supposed to be, when you want it to! Pricing for this kit is only $640 + shipping.

Exedy has never let us down, and offers a full line of clutches for the VQ family. Backed by decades of experience in making both O.E. and racing spec clutches to suit various needs, Exedy clutches will consistently perform as they should without a hassle.

The Exedy stage 1 clutch kit is the entry level clutch kit available for the 370z/G37. With the ability to hold 301 ft/lbs at the wheels consistently, this will suit the needs of most weekend warriors looking for a clutch that will handle some abuse while not breaking their leg. Close to factory pedal feel is retained and the use of an organic clutch disc gives long life and user friendly operation. This kit comes with a Exedy flywheel as well to replace you factory dual mass unit. Priced at: $1200 + shipping.

The Exedy stage 2 clutch kit takes it a step further with a single cerametallic disc capable of handling more heat and power suitable for the average turbo/supercharged build. The torque capacity has been increased to 342 ft/lbs at the wheels. As with most street/track clutches, some chatter will be present during light throttle and start up situations. Due to the disc material however, the setup is rather forgiving in terms of slippage characteristics and will not be too terribly different in feeling from the stage 1. Also you have no need to worry about increased drivetrain shock due to the higher clamp loads since Exedy has you covered with sprung disc center dampers reducing the impacts of sudden load on the transmission. This kit comes with a replacement flywheel as well and is priced at: $1300 + shipping.

PM me for best pricing!
