Ya don't worry it is made like that with the grinding already done. They would have done it to clean up any sharp edges from manufacturing. Also there is no creeking in mine and its been installed the longest and no one else has reported creeking with the spring

You will like the new feel I think everyone agrees that has this, it is an improved feel making the pedal feel much more responsive.....if that makes sense to every one
