Removing the spring also works. However on some of the threads here it was discussed how there was side to side play in the clutch pedal assembly with no spring.

Removing the spring also works. However on some of the threads here it was discussed how there was side to side play in the clutch pedal assembly with no spring. With a spring it makes it much more rigid feeling, pedal feels supported the whole way up and down. So yes no spring works......... But are just thinking it might cause a little extra unnecessary wear on it. In the end it's up to you both work and both are a huge improvement over the OEM spring IMO.
