I'm not going to be tracking my car so a few degrees upward should not affect performance or longevity. Also, I don't recall reading that Nissan chose an aluminum hood

Also, I don't recall reading that Nissan chose an aluminum hood without a liner to dissipate engine heat. Everything I've read is related to weight (and keeping costs down). Additionally, check out the G37 with our same engine and a hoodliner.
