:tup: just did this today!

I just did this and weighed the whole package (including brackets and bolts) at 2.6 lbs. definitely need to push the hatch shut though.

My 2013 Nismo has it,but I don't have a problem with the hatch opening despite the big wing on it.

I they put a stronger spring in the 2013's

Took me less that 5 minutes with a Flathead and a 10mm socket!

Definitely appreciate it, fixed my trunk problem.

NOTE for 2013 models, there is no hatch weight, there wasn't one in mine anyway.

I'll just do what Chris(SPOHN) did and take out the hatch glass and replace it with lexan.:rofl2:

Nope, just took mine out of my Nismo!

Just went to do after reading this, no weight on my 2013. Think DEpointfive is right, seems to be hit or miss.

btw, for pulling the glass side of the trim away, i used the wide interior tool to pull it apart (farthest right tool).

I can't wait for you guys to see my next small weight removal that also helps remove lots of heat from the engine bay.
